Banzai Cliff.
During World War II, as the United States slowly gripped the victory over the Marianas Islands, The Japanese did NOT want to be kept prisoners of war or surrender to the Americans. So at this exact cliff — Women, Children, and Japanese soldiers committed suicide, Jumped off this cliff and into the shark infested waters below while screaming “Banzai”. Hence it’s name — Banzai Cliff.

Just an island full of birds. NO LIE.
My friends and I have actually gone down to the edge of this island just to swim. Scary shit tho, because the only thing keeping us from being pulled out into the open ocean, was a reef. And well, We were on that reef. Lol.
